Make a little more room.

The middle of the back is easy to forget about until it gets stiff. Hours of sitting, hunching toward a screen, or holding the breath without noticing can leave the ribs and spine feeling locked in place. Everything in this practice happens on the floor. Nothing is weight-bearing, and nothing is forced. Through slow sliding, swaying, and gentle rolling movements, the spine gets a chance to soften and turn, the ribs get room to move with the breath, and you get a chance to notice what that feels like. SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) was created by Tias Little. It's less about doing the movement and more about sensing it. That shift is often where relief begins, especially if you're living with chronic pain, fatigue, or a nervous system that's been on high alert for a while.
