Set it down for a while.

So much of what we carry ends up living in the shoulders and neck: long days at a screen, carrying heavy bags, a child on your hip, the habit of bracing for whatever comes next. This practice is a chance to set some of that down. Everything happens on the floor, lying down. Nothing is weight-bearing, and nothing is forced. Through slow sliding, sweeping, and rolling movements of the arms and head, the muscles around your shoulders, neck, and upper back get a chance to let go, and you get a chance to notice what that feels like. SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) was created by Tias Little. It's less about doing the movement and more about sensing it. That shift is often where relief begins, especially if you're living with chronic pain, tension headaches, fatigue, or a nervous system that's been on high alert for a while.
